As a fiber artist with a background in biology and conservation education, I'm fascinated by the relationships between humans and the natural world. My work draws on scientific observation-patterns in nature, animal behavior, ecological systems-and translates that understanding into textured imagery using wool and other natural fibers.
The tactile quality of fiber allows me to explore these themes in a medium that is both expressive and deeply rooted in tradition. I'm especially interested in how textiles can evoke emotional connection, spark curiosity, and serve as a bridge between art and science.
My use of natural materials adds a layer of meaning to the work, reflecting both sustainability and the interconnectedness of all things. Through each piece, I aim to celebrate nature's complexity, highlight its beauty, and encourage a sense of wonder and care.
