Architecturally responsive (site-specific) graphite drawings operate in tandem with continual and progressive bodies of work regarding fluctuating sensation(s) of gravity, measurement of temporal spaces, levels of lucid consciousness and other sensational considerations. Graphite (in all its delicate forms) is the preferred and precise media for investigations of any chosen drawing surface; an act I sometimes refer to as “drawing excavations.” With these ideas in mind, I work primarily within the limitations of a gallery space, or on bespoke designed (2D) surfaces made of aged papers and/or a wide range of discarded construction materials.
