As a contemporary painter, I create portraits, still life, and floral paintings, that deeply explore South Asian representation through a blend of traditional and nontraditional compositions. My work begins with the use of my own fabrics, jewelry, and fresh florals, allowing me to stage compositions rich in cultural significance and memories.

My paintings serve as a canvas for storytelling, reflecting not just the external beauty of my subjects but also the complex experiences of many women in my life. These narratives inspire my work, embodying themes of strength, courage, beauty and empowerment.

Through my art, I wish to create a space that fosters connections and inspires dialogue amongst viewers. I invite them to engage with and reflect upon rich tapestry of cultural heritage that informs my journey as an artist. It is my hope that each painting resonates on a personal level, becoming a bridge that connects hearts and minds across different experiences and backgrounds.
