The Arkansas Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (ACNMWA) is exhibiting the work of 48 Arkansas women artists in the online 2025-2027 Juried Artist Registry here. Juror Carey Voss, Curator of Exhibits at the Historic Arkansas Museum in Little Rock, selected the artists for inclusion in this biennial registry. The call for applications ran from June to August and was open to all artists who identify as women and reside in Arkansas.
Voss released the following statement: “My sincere thanks to each of the 101 women who shared their work, and to ACNMWA for the opportunity to judge the 2025-2027 Juried Artist Registry. In addition to painting, sculpture, ceramics, and photography, I was delighted to see diverse examples of contemporary jewelry, textiles, digital media, and site-specific installation. All artists chosen for the Registry demonstrate a high level of skill and carefully developed individual style. Some also challenge conventions through their innovative treatment of materials and subject matter. At their most exceptional, Arkansas women artists courageously reveal their authentic selves. In an era marked by division, these generous acts of aesthetic vulnerability invite viewers to experience deep human connection.”
