As many artists, I have found that my art is evolving, not only in style but in purpose. Early in my career I painted for me to refine my work - to reach a level I believed was necessary to succeed in the art world. Then I found that creating art was not necessarily about the finished product, but about the journey - the path to get there.

I changed my style and focus on calm landscapes to abstracts. I thought the abstracts were experimental, new, and innovative. They were to me, but maybe not to other people. I found a way for my paintings to become "edgier", but in doing so I also found a way to play and enjoy the journey.

Currently, I paint abstracts and landscapes and florals. I use different color palettes. I change the focus. And I play.
