ACNMWA Appoints Three New Board Members

The Arkansas Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (ACNMWA) announces the appointment of Dr. Meredith N. Brunen, Angela Tilley, and Kim Vickery to the Arkansas Committee Board. They bring leadership in philanthropy, education, design, and community engagement, and have already made valuable contributions to the organization’s programs.

Dr Meredith N Brunen

Dr. Meredith N. Brunen

Dr. Meredith N. Brunen is an advancement executive with more than two decades of experience building philanthropic support for arts and education organizations. Her career includes senior development roles with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and the Momentary, as well as the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts.

She currently serves as a Senior Consultant with Gonser Gerber Advancement and Leadership Consultants, advising mission-driven organizations on fundraising strategy, campaign readiness, executive searches, and professional development through the Gonser Gerber Institute. She is honored to support the mission of the National Museum of Women in the Arts through her service in her home state of Arkansas.

Angela Tilley

Angela Tilley

Angela Tilley has over two decades of leadership experience in public education and community development. She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and is committed to making a positive impact by serving others and enhancing the quality of life in her community. 

Angela serves as the Wellness Program Development and Engagement Coordinator for the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) in Fort Smith. ACHE is committed to the arts through their extensive private art collection and galleries, which host a rotating art exhibit and two art exhibitions annually.

Kim Vickery

Kim Vickery

Kim Vickery is a Professor of Graphic Design at Arkansas State University, Jonesboro for 27 years. She is a designer, photographer, and educator with a creative brain and the power of ideation. Her background spans both corporate and agency work—including running her own brick-and-mortar creative studio—where she has developed branding and creative strategies grounded in thoughtful, purposeful design.

Portrait photography has always been a meaningful outlet for her, offering a way to help others see and celebrate themselves through imagery. Over a decade ago, Kim founded Girls with Cameras, an event series that brings underrepresented girls together to explore creativity with confidence while building connections through photography.

Kim has spent much of her career in higher education, mentoring the next generation of designers, photographers, and creatives. She is deeply inspired by the mission of the National Museum of Women in the Arts and is honored to contribute to the Arkansas Committee.
